about
This arrangement of Macintosh Plus/Vektroid's landmark track has been a labor of love of mine for the last year of the pandemic, arranged and performed by myself through stock Garageband VSTs.
I wanted to explore the transformative aspects of music, language, and memes to tell a story. This song is going to affect people in different ways based on whether you are familiar with the original work, and that original work already has its own layers of context: whether you heard it as a song or part of a Meme or as "the vaporware song" or even if you are more familiar with the Diana Ross the original sampled. If you're unfamiliar with the original, hopefully I created something new and fun enough to stand on its own.
With all that said, just sit back, and relax, and let the music tell you what it wants to say.
Thank you.
